Question: How do I get an oily-type stain out of my velvet shoes?

This is a tough one. It is not recommended that you get the velvet wet because it will stain. It may sound crazy, but I would use clean flour. Sprinkle a little on, gently work it in with an old tooth brush. Let it sit for a few minutes and brush off. When applied correctly, the flour will soak up the oil and brush right off.
